Ekal Vidyalaya is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a targeted mission of eradicating illiteracy and bringing basic education to children across rural India. Currently, Ekal operates nearly 1,02,724 one-teacher schools, which provide free education to more than 2.7 million children. But, there is more work to be done, as we aim to reach a total of 100,000 villages by 2020.

And with widespread literacy, the door will be open to a far better future for all of India.
